Who We Are
About Tanydd Corgi Crew - it is a small, family-run breeding programme based in Cullinan, Gauteng. We specialise in carefully bred Pembroke Welsh Corgis — with a particular love for the striking tricolor coats that combine black, white, and rich tan markings.
Our goal is simple: to raise healthy, confident, well-socialised puppies that become cherished family members for life.
The Meaning Behind Tanydd
The name Tanydd is drawn from the Welsh word tân, meaning “fire.” It was chosen to reflect warmth, vitality, and the deep bond that forms between a Corgi and its family.
Approved as a unique kennel affix by both the Kennel Union of Southern Africa (KUSA) and the Fédération Cynologique Internationale (FCI), Tanydd represents our respect for the breed’s heritage and our commitment to a lasting legacy of quality.
How We Raise Our Puppies
We are not a commercial kennel. Every puppy is born and raised in our family home, never in outdoor runs or kennel blocks.
From their first days they receive:
- Daily handling and gentle socialisation
- Exposure to normal household sights, sounds, and routines
- Early foundations in training and mental stimulation
- Individual attention within a carefully planned litter
We deliberately produce only two to three litters per year so that every puppy receives the time and care it deserves.
Health, Temperament & Standards
All our breeding dogs are selected from quality KUSA-registered bloodlines with attention to health, steady temperament, and correct breed type.
Every puppy leaves us with:
- Full veterinary care, including vaccinations and deworming
- Microchip identification
- Complete health documentation and KUSA registration paperwork
We prioritise not only physical health but also emotional confidence and a balanced temperament — the foundation of a happy lifelong companion.
Matching the Right Puppy with the Right Family
About. We believe every Tanydd Corgi deserves a home that understands and values the breed’s intelligence, energy, and loyalty.
That is why we carefully match each puppy with approved families. Whether you live in Gauteng, elsewhere in South Africa, or further afield, we guide you from the first enquiry through to post-placement support.
Lifelong Support
A Corgi is a ten-to-fifteen year commitment. The guidance we provide should match the weight of that decision.
Through our free Corgi Guides, Corgi Toolkit, and the wider Corgi Crew Knowledge Network, we offer practical, evidence-based resources on behaviour, training, enrichment, health, and the emotional side of ownership. We remain available for advice whenever you need us.

What Our Families Say
Confident from Day One
“We collected our tricolor girl from Tanydd last year and still feel so grateful. She came home confident, well-socialised, and already showing that classic Corgi personality. The ongoing support and resources have been just as valuable as the puppy herself.”
— Sarah & Johan, Pretoria
Raised with Real Care
“From the first message to the day we brought our boy home, everything felt thoughtful and professional. You can tell these puppies are raised in a real home with genuine care. Two years later, he’s the heart of our family.”
— The Smith Family, Gauteng
The Perfect Match
“We appreciated how carefully they matched us with the right puppy. Our Corgi has the most wonderful temperament — steady, affectionate, and full of character. The guidance we’ve received since has made all the difference.”
— Michael & Lerato, Johannesburg
A Decision We’re Glad We Made
“Choosing a Tanydd Corgi was one of the best decisions we’ve made. Healthy, beautifully bred, and raised with so much love. It’s clear this is a small programme that puts the dogs and the families first.”
